Silk Strip Pieced Jacket

This pure silk wearable art jacket is named “Armoured for the City”. It is made of raw silk, strip quilted vertically. Each strip has an insert of finer silk. These inserts collectively simulate a city skyline with the gold, silver shapes creating the effect of the setting sun on the windows of the buildings. The Swarovski crystals at some building tops create the effect of lighted communication towers. My Kamon (Japanese signature/family crest) is embroidered on the right lower back. It is fully lined & constructed to fit a 38C bust. Self drafted pattern. Gently worn. Dry clean.
